I am interested in the impacts of land use changes on river systems to better understand natural baseline conditions for restoration applications. My current research is focused on the influence of beavers, earthen and mill dams on the fluvial geomorphology of Holocene New England. To address change over multiple timescales my research includes a variety of field survey and sampling methods including RTK-GPS surveying, Ground Penetrating Radar and sediment coring.
