Kari Comstock

Ph.D. Student

I am a PhD student doing critical zone research, where I explore the relationship between bedrock weathering and vegetative growth. My primary field site is in the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, where I investigate how bedrock weathering of granites changes subsurface hydrology and impacts plant growth. I utilize geophysical, geochemical, and remote sensing methods to help inform my research.
