David Luffman
M.S. Student
I am a master’s student at University of Connecticut Earth Sciences. I study how wildfires and their pyrogenic products affect subsurface water chemistry, and how these pyrogenic signals differ across space and over time. I am very fortunate to work with isotopic and molecular geochemist Dr. Michael Hren in his geochemistry lab.My other academic interests include digital data analysis with R, GIS, and other programming languages; geomorphology and earth surface processes; and the sedimentary archives of the earth. I’m originally from Nashville, TN, and enjoy travelling, hiking, and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
