My research focus is studying the tectonic and mountain making processes in Taiwan by use of geologic methods such as structural analysis, thermochronology, igneous and metamorphic petrology, through field mapping and reading scientific papers. Ongoing research goals: Understanding fundamental questions of exhumation in an active arc-continent collision. Interpret exhumation history of the island’s orogenic history by analyzing the structural fabrics of high grade metamorphic rocks of Taiwan.
