Julia Daniel
M.S. Student
I am a M.S. student studying carbonate sedimentology and paleoclimate. Before coming to UCONN, I received my B.S. in Geology and Music from Central Michigan University with a minor in Environmental Science. During my undergraduate studies, I researched the CO2 storage potential the Antrim Shale (Michigan Basin) and completed an REU at UT Austin with a broad scope of stratigraphy, mudstone geochemistry, and geochronology of the Rocas Verdes Basin (Patagonian Andes). While I have shifted my research focus for each project, I am primarily interested in ways which the sedimentary rocks record or react with climate and methods to mitigate the effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
