Meghan Kinkaid

ECE Teacher

My passion is sharing enthusiasm for the Earth and Universe with my students and exposing them to all the aspects of both that they may have otherwise never thought to look at. I have been an educator since 2011 at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in Windsor, CT, teaching Earth and Space Sciences to high school students from all across the state. With an educational background in Astronomy, I regularly find ways to bring new and revised experiences to my students to expose them to the wonders of the Universe and the ways in which we are actively learning more about the Earth. Throughout my time as an educator, I am routinely writing and revising curriculum to adjust to new and engaging information to keep my courses current, relevant, and impactful. I am an advocate for and a leader in implementing Next Generation Science Standards to science curriculum for high school students, specifically in the content areas of Earth and Space Sciences.
